Smoke and Mirrors Inspiration

Hey guys, AllENdlLes here.
You might seen my article(Imagine Dragons 浅谈：赶快去读夜视界) before, and this time I wanna try some new style of writing those thought. Just step below and you’ll understand what I said.

Before you read

This article is inspired when I listening the songs belongs to Smoke+mirrors, and I’ll put my impression into the story.

I Trouble

Norway, Oslo
“Hey youngs, do you want to try this?” While Al and Cl walking down the street to watch surroundings, an elder man waves to them with an enthusiastic. He point at a wood cabin near the lake.
“Thank you sir but…”
“Oh what’s that?” Cl interupt Al immediately, he is always full of curiosity.
“That’s a suana and —— if you wanna try, then you can swim in the lake and … just repeating.”
“How much do you charge?”
“Wait, I don’t think that will do any good to you, so let’s g…” Al try to persuade.
“But why not? We spend plenty of hours to come here, oslo, and it’s for what? Of course for experience the activities like this. Let’s try it, come on!”
“Oh that sounds you forget your mission…”
Cl pulls Al to the cabin and pay the money for half an hour.

“Look, so it’s an impressive experience, right?” Cl and Al get out from the circle of ice and fire.
“Well, if we do this everyday, maybe our survey have over before the beginning.” Al glares at him.
“Relax, brother. Don’t mention that holly survey. We just know it’s about a religion… or sth else, no matters. We even don’t know if it exsit! So what are you concern about? This career is not valueable enough to make you devoted to.”
“Okay, maybe you are right…”

Crowd commotioning.

“What the hell are they so annoying! I just wanna appreciate the views.” Cl curses, suddenly stands up.
“Oh, What’s that…?”
Near the commotioning the crowd, sth just like a flock of huge, invisible mirror appears silently.
“So that is the smoke & mirrors, what we look for.” Al stands up to.
“Let’s take a look.”

II The Unknown

Hopefully then I will see

Norway, Rjukan
“So we chase it all the time until we arrived here. Do you have any gain?”
“Nope.”
“Fascinating. We chase it a day long! But it disappear here, and today I must gain some achievement to compensate the pain!” Cl shouts.
“Put your attention on the right way. Here is my analyzing:

• First, smoke & mirrors are sth reality, it’s not such a Cthulhu-style religion.
• Second, I more likely to believe that it’s something caused by hallucinition.
  And the conclusion is that smoke & mirrors are lead by sth that all of the people in the world are the use of it. So what is that?”
  “You mean… it resembles a conspiracy?”
  “Maybe. But it doesn’t do any wrong until now. So we need to step deeper.”

Al and Cl walked around Rjukan and then noticed 3 mirrors on top of the hill.
In order to check it out, they knocked the door of a native resident.

“Hello, I’m Al, an investigator from Australia. I want to ask you sth about the village if you are convinient now.”
“Sure, how can I help you?”
“Do you know about the mirrors on top of the hill?”
“Oh, you are investigating the smoke and mirrors. No, those 3 mirrors are not “smoke and mirrors”, it has been here a lot of years. People build it to light the square —— you know, Norway is near the polar regions.”
“Thank you. See you next time.”

“AC group, we have some new founds in Finland Lapland, repeat, Finland Lapland. I will send you my location, come here now.”

III I Comes Back to You

Looking back into the past and i can see it through

Finland, Lapland
“What’s the matter?” Al & Cl arrived destination and find the one waiting for them: Zn
“We find the smoke&mirrors here and through the spectrum device, we realized that smoke&mirrors is invisible.” Zn said.
“But We can see it…”
“Yes, that is the key. We think it is sth out of our range of knowledge. Maybe it’ll be a new physics research or sth, no matters. We thinks there are conspiracy under the surface.”
“I just thought as this.” Al reply.
“And whats your point?” Cl asks.
“It might to be a trap to draw our attention. Someone is hiding sth, and now the result resemble successful.”
“Yeah, it possible to be a tools of making panic and then do some illegal things without people’s attention” Cl laughs, then he see the expression of Al and Zn and the laugh froze.
“Auh…I’m joking, right?”
“We are serious, and what you said is just what I’m thinking.” Zn said.
“Who? Madman?”
“We are serious, I won’t repeat it again. We have evidence: since the smoke&mirrors appears, the ratio of self distruction increased quickly. Many illegal incident might be hidden.”
“Oh, good imagination. But smoke&mirrors is harmless at all.”
“Yes, but it doesn’t need to be harmful.”

“So, do you satisfied?” Cl ridicule at Zn.(because they finally find their theory is wrong)
“But I still wanna find the truth.” Al seems unhappy.
“Yes guys, just going on this trip, and all you have done will comes back to you one day. You won’t regret.” Zn said, then go alone.

IV Shots

I'm sorry for everything, oh, everything I've done
From the second that I was born, it seems I had a loaded gun
And then I shot, shot, shot a hole through everything I loved

Australia, Daintree National Park
“It becomes more and more clear.”
“What”
“The truth, the real identity smoke&mirrors is.” Al steps on a rock in the jungle.
“But we have spend a month to travel a around the world just… survey that what the hell smoke&mirrors? That seems crazy.” Cl shaking head.
“Yes. Everytime we gonna entre it, it disappeared with out any trail. So we move again and again together to catch it. In fact, I’m so tired, too.”

Soon, Al reached the top of rock hill. At the moment, he felt he stand on top of the world.
Looking around, green filled his eyes. Looking faraway, blue reflected his face.
Farther more, the sunlight blowing horizon. That’s called Blues Moment.

“Maybe you are right, it seems smoke&mirrors have nothing to do with us but the mission of investigate. So why we are so stubborn on this Mission-impossible?”
“Not ‘we’ but ‘you’. I never change my mind to focus on it.” Cl smiled.
“I always laugh at your curios, but now I find that I am who crazy with the curiosity. And now, let’s go back to norway to experience the suana again. I finally understand that lyrics, because ‘I shot shot shot a hole throught everything’ I truly loved.”
“Don’t be so seperated. Life is a polaroid, every moment should be enjoyed. Do you regret?”
“No, not at all. It’ll comes back to me.” Al forced a smile.

All I believe, Is it a dream?

V Second Chances

Epilogue

I have no time to write down the hole story so I just pick some important: Just read them like a story, not a novel.
When the “中考” end, I will have the second chance to write the hole passage. Waiting for the end.
